Ciampino or Fiumicino?

Ciampino is about 15 km south-east of the centre and is Rome’s main airport for private aviation, with a dedicated terminal and fast handling. Fiumicino is Rome’s main commercial airport — useful if you’re connecting to a long-haul flight.

This is one of the shortest jet routes from Malta, so a turboprop like the Pilatus PC-12 is often the most economical choice, with little difference in journey time.
